Taco Tuesday, Now & Forever

Taco Tuesdays have been a long-standing tradition for some of us at OLG, and we’ll never stop tasting our way through the city. We try to go to simple places where the tacos come out fresh and quick. Over time, we’ve put together lists of favorites. Here’s a look into our cilantro-filled perspective.

La Michoacana

1421 N Wells Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808

Always one of our favorite spots. Steak and chicken are go-tos. (Note, their business hours are listed as noon, but best try noon-thirty.)

Birrieria La Cabana

2534 New Haven Avenue, Fort Wayne IN 46803

Great place for a stand-out taco. Deep fried tortilla if you wish (and should).

El Paraiso

4101 Hessen Cassel Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46806

A spot within a grocery store that doesn’t disappoint. All the basics done well.

Los Taco Paco

2516 E Pontiac Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46803

Highly recommend. Nice people with a restaurant setting. Have a beer while you’re there.

Taqueria Rancho Alegre

5709 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835

Colorful spot, ready to please. Simple but good tacos. Get the grilled chicken.

Taqueria Salsa Grille

2031 Broadway, Fort Wayne, IN 46802

The OG downtown stop. Free chips and salsa can never be bad either.

Tacos Arandas “El Amish”

2012 Broadway, Fort Wayne, IN 46802

This place is one-of-a-kind for atmosphere and their take on tacos. We suggest getting two instead of three.

Los Carnales Restaurant

412 E Pontiac Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46806

Small place (three-four tables?) but served up good and fresh!

Rigo’s Taqueria

5858 Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809

Busy spot next to a Marathon station. Chorizo was liked.

El Taco Vaquero

5830 Coldwater Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825

Some nice fellas serving up some perfect tacos in a food truck next to a gas station.

The Famous Taco

4104 N Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46805

Good campechano taco. The ordering style is a bit more “chain-like” but don’t let that stop you.

Jalapeño Mexican Grill

3170 E State Boulevard, Fort Wayne, IN 46805

Another gas station destination worth checking out. They were quick!

Although our suggested list is above, we keep trying new spots!
Note, this list was updated in April 2024.
