A MIGHTY TEAM OF TEN
History
Matt Kelley always thought, if he ever had an agency, he would want its name to sound less like an accounting firm, and more like a band. So in 1999, Matt bought a 1964 Gibson B-25 acoustic guitar from a tall Tennessean named Bucky Baxter. As it turns out, that guitar had some kind of magical dust on it, and shortly after, good things started happening in Matt’s life—including leaving his job, and starting his own business. And so it was named One Lucky Guitar, Inc.
We got our start doing album artwork for some of the industry’s most-respected artists, from a one-bedroom apartment in the 46805. Since then, we’ve relocated to an office on the near-southeast entrance of downtown Fort Wayne and our team has continued to grow.
Is the guitar really lucky? Well, let’s be serious: we work hard, and we’re fair. That’s the luck.
One Lucky Guitar was also home to The B-Side at One Lucky Guitar, an intimate venue within our downtown agency. We hosted hundreds of shows—from singer-songwriter to punk rock, from stand-up comedy to modern dance. The B-Side sunset after the coronavirus pandemic.
