Back in mid-2019, we were excited to get the call from the founders of Fort Wayne Football Club (Fort Wayne FC), to help put together the team’s badge and overarching visual identity. This early brand development helped fast-track the team’s momentum, including the recruitment of ownership and investors (including Fort Wayne’s own USMT / World Cup star, DaMarcus Beasley) before the pandemic postponed the team’s inaugural season in 2020.
Resilient, the team’s plans advanced, including identifying Shields Stadium as their current home—with dreams of a North River pitch in the near future—and in May 2021 the team debuted with their first-ever home game, members of USL League Two’s Great Lakes Division.
While the club creates its own marketing materials, merchandise and so on, in an entrepreneurial, startup fashion, you’ll still find OLG’ers in the stands, rooting on our footballers, and cheering as they “Protect the Fort!”
