From Dependence to Independence

Measuring a human services organization’s impact on the lives of the people it touches can be been challenging. OLG recently partnered with Foellinger Foundation to create an animated video that visualizes the Foundation’s Independence Continuum, a tool of the new evaluation system for measuring grantees’ effectiveness in moving their clients from dependence to independence.

Foellinger Foundation’s new evaluation system defines the basic stages on the Continuum, and outlines how clients progress toward independence based on housing, education, employment, transportation and support systems.

OLG worked with the Foundation to illustrate and animate this video, which simplifies the complexities of the Independence Continuum so grantees and training participants can gain clarity on the effectiveness of their own programs.
