The Rural Disparity

Led by Fortify Life, The Rural Disparity is an initiative that seeks to educate community members, instill empathy for our neighbors and engage leaders in collaborative discussions about the unique needs of rural communities like DeKalb County.
One Lucky Guitar partnered with Fortify Life to develop the campaign theme for this initiative. Based on what was learned through a yearlong series of roundtable conversations with stakeholders, we developed a content strategy to tell the story of poverty in rural communities through five videos: an overview/introduction video and a video focusing on each theme: economic security, resource collaboration, physical health & safety and mental, emotional & spiritual wellbeing.
We also supported the initiative by developing a leave-behind printed piece and webpage.
Fortify Life’s work to bring education, empathy and engagement around poverty issues betters our entire region. Thank you, Fortify Life, for leading the way!
