A Damn Good Pot Pie
from Jake
You got it, it’s a damn good pot pie.

Greek Flank Steak and Veggie Salad
from Jasmine
We found this in a 2020 issue of Allrecipes One-Pan Recipes magazine, and it has become our absolute go-to for when we want a good meal but don’t want to work too hard for it.
Hot tips:
- The broiler approach worked for us in our old apartment, but not in the oven in our new house. If that’s you, too, you can just cook the steak and veggies separate, and give that steak a good ol’ sear on the stove before popping it in with the veggies to the temp of your liking.
- We don’t usually put this on a bed of lettuce—just eat the veggies and meat! But, you could also serve it with a carb if you’d like, such as rice.

Grilled Steak
from Matt
I don’t know much, but I do know grilling. (I also make pretty good toast.)
In short: use Lawry’s Seasoned Salt and pepper, and that’s it. (And a touch more (regular) salt once it’s on your plate.)

Texas Cake
from Erin
My favorite family recipe is Texas Sheet Cake, passed down from a friend of my grandma’s. It’s a 4th of July tradition, always served with homemade vanilla ice cream. We loved it so much that we often requested my mom make it for our birthdays—too good to have just once a year! While I prefer it without pecans, you can compromise and sprinkle them on half of the cake for the best of both worlds.

Ukrainian “Pancakes” AKA Crepes
from Michelle
I grew up eating pancakes at my Baba’s house differently than when my mom would make them all fluffy with syrup all over them. These were thin and always stuffed, and it was not until I was much, much older that I realized that most of the world called them crepes. We also eat these for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Zucchini Bread / Muffins
from Zoe
My mom has been making this recipe for as long as I can remember. As a little kid, I called it Bikini Bread because I couldn’t pronounce zucchini. Now, it’s my go-to recipe when my garden starts overproducing large zucchinis!
