The Don Wood Foundation is committed to strengthening education and workforce development across northeast Indiana—particularly in manufacturing and skilled trades. Through strategic investments and partnerships, the organization works to expand access to opportunity, build talent pipelines and support the next generation of workers.

At the heart of that mission is the legacy of Don Wood himself—a leader whose values, vision and “winning attitude” continue to shape the Foundation’s work today.

To honor that legacy and share it with a broader audience, the Foundation partnered with One Lucky Guitar to create A Winning Attitude: The Life and Legacy of Don Wood—a 30-minute documentary that explores Don’s lasting influence. Structured as a keynote presentation, the film includes personal stories and reflections from those who knew him best, bringing his ideas, values and leadership philosophy to life in an intimate storytelling format.

The film premiered at the Foundation’s Get In on Next-Gen event in April 2026, where grantee partners, manufacturing leaders, stakeholders and community partners gathered to reflect on the Foundation’s impact and look ahead to the future of advanced manufacturing in the region. OLG supported the event through strategic consultation, messaging and positioning, and creative direction, helping ensure the documentary debut was part of a larger, cohesive experience.

Bringing a Legacy to Life

Our work on the documentary extended beyond a single film. In close collaboration with the Foundation, we developed a suite of storytelling assets to preserve Don Wood’s legacy and activate it across multiple platforms and audiences.

Deliverables included:

A 30-minute documentary film
A series of seven short chapter videos, each highlighting key themes and “Donisms” that defined Don Wood’s philosophy and leadership style
Teaser cuts for social media and digital channels to build anticipation and extend reach

Each piece was designed to work together—creating not just a film, but a cohesive suite of video and communication assets that could be used across events, campaigns and more.
