Looking to ring in the holiday season with a movie marathon? These holiday films fill our team members’ hearts with cheer!

A Christmas Story

A Jehl family classic. It was always playing during our big, extended family Christmas Eve party, and if it wasn’t…there would be an issue. – John

I wouldn’t change the channel if it were on in the background. – Jake

Elf

Watching Elf with some hot chocolate as we decorate the tree is an annual holiday tradition. From the catchy soundtrack to the highly quotable lines, it’s the kickoff to the holiday season. “But the children love the books!” – Erin

This is usually the first movie I play each season when I start decorating the tree. Not to mention the life lessons it brings: “The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is by singing loud for all to hear.” – Bridget

Another one I wouldn’t mind walking into the room and it being on. – Jake

The Family Stone

I stumbled on this movie a few years back and enjoyed it so much that I brought it into my annual holiday rotation. It’s a beautiful mess of family dynamics and a heart-tugging reminder of what’s most important to celebrate. – Erin

Gremlins

I would also leave this one on if I happened upon it. – Jake

The Grinch

The 2018 version of The Grinch is a new favorite—I not only look forward to watching it, but I look forward to listening to the soundtrack, too. Tyler, The Creator (and others) add such a unique twist on some classic songs. – Jasmine

The Holiday

This is a newer tradition I share with my best friend. Every holiday season, she comes over to my house, we order sushi takeout, and settle in with steaming mugs of tea to watch this wonderfully cheesy rom-com. Mr. Napkin Head forever! – Emily

Home Alone

A timeless classic. It’s been one of my favorites since I was a kid, and something new makes me laugh every time. – John

How the Grinch Stole Christmas and A Charlie Brown Christmas Double Feature

Every Christmas Eve for as long as I can remember, we sit down as a family to watch these two half-hour animated specials. Both programs first aired on TV in the mid-1960s, when my parents were children watching with their own families, and they passed that tradition down to us. For me, it doesn’t feel like Christmas until I’ve watched these childhood favorites. – Emily

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

When my husband and I started dating, I learned that Christmas Vacation isn’t just a movie, but a tradition. After a meal and gifts, his whole extended family sits around to watch this movie. It’s a special time of laughing and reciting the movie word for word. – Michelle

“Save the neck for me, Clark.” 20+ watches and this movie still makes me laugh! It’s our tradition to watch it every year on Christmas Eve. It’s not Christmas without this movie! – Bridget

Nightmare Before Christmas

It is, in fact, acceptable to watch this movie from October 1–December 26. This is a hill I am willing to die on. – Jasmine

The Santa Clause

This movie is just so nostalgic to me, even the bad special effects. I watched it most years as a kid, and I’m continuing the tradition into my adulthood! – Zoe

This movie is just the best! I’ve watched it nearly every year since it was released. And it gives Comet some well-deserved love and a spotlight for a change. – Bridget

The Year Without a Santa Claus

I love all of these old claymation Christmas movies, especially Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town. – Jasmine

Die Hard

Someone had to say it. – Jonathan
