Creating Possibilities Through Visual Storytelling

October 27, 2025

The Annual Turnstone Board of Directors’ Gala is more than a celebration. It showcases how clients’ lives are transformed, goals are conquered and barriers are broken—all thanks to Turnstone’s life-changing services and programs. As northeast Indiana’s only freestanding not-for-profit providing comprehensive services for people with disabilities and their families, Turnstone transforms this fundraiser into a powerful demonstration of how movement, competition and belonging empower thousands of lives.

To do this, Turnstone partners with One Lucky Guitar to capture these transformative stories through powerful video content that features their clients’ journeys. For over five years, OLG has transformed individual narratives into moving visual stories that celebrate human resilience and determination—supporting Turnstone’s mission of creating possibilities for every individual they serve.

Strength in Me: Erica’s Story

In 2007, Erica Predum suffered a spinal cord injury after a car accident that left her paralyzed. She didn’t know anyone with a disability and felt defeated and isolated. Learning about Turnstone opened her eyes to a world of possibilities she had never known existed.

Today, Erica is thriving. She utilizes Turnstone’s fitness center and personal training sessions to build her strength and improve her mental health. Her video premiered at the Annual Board of Directors’ Gala in 2025. The event raised over $350,850 to help fuel Turnstone’s growth in bringing services and programs to people with disabilities, regardless of their ability to pay.

Anything Is Possible: John’s Story

A sports and fitness enthusiast, John Drebenstedt found strength in movement— running half marathons, playing in a soccer league and cycling through countless miles. When a sports injury, combined with a pre-existing condition, left him wheelchair-bound, he refused to let his athletic spirit fade. John turned to Turnstone to find a new way to stay active and independent.

John trains in Turnstone’s weight room, swims laps in the pool and circles the track with renewed purpose. His personal trainer works with him twice a week, building physical strength and growing confidence in his abilities.

John’s video debuted at the 2024 Turnstone Annual Gala and helped raise over $375,000 for the not-for-profit.

We are honored to partner with Turnstone to share these powerful stories of determination and perseverance—opening doors for people with disabilities to not only navigate challenges, but also, to truly thrive.
