I had the privilege to design a poster for a Jeff Tweedy solo performance. The show was a fundraising event put on by fans who raise money for charity; Jeff then comes and plays in front of a small groupd of 20 or 30 people right in one of their living rooms. It's a pretty cool thing for the fans and Mr. Tweed to do.


That being said, the poster isn't really an advertisement for the show, but rather a limted edition keepsake for all the attendees. I hope they dig it...



Here's how I made it: The farmland at the bottom was created with photos I took from an airplane window, the clouds in the sky are from a photo I took in europe last year, and the chicago skyline I drew from memory in Photoshop. Everything else is just a bunch of colors, texture and shapes layered together. Fonts used are Quicksand, MrsEaves, Knockout plus a few Type Embelishments.
