Over the past few months and weeks I've been posting a lot about super heroes—showing bits and pieces of illustrations of capes and masks. Well, here is part of the final product: a poster for Heart Center Medical Group.

HCMG has recently installed a new computer system that controls all elements of their practice management and medical record keeping, so it's a huge change in procedure for the staff. There's a lot to learn, but once they do they are empowered, able to work faster, more accurately and more efficiently. It sort of makes them medical super heroes.

So our friends at the Heart Center Medical Group asked us to create  series of posters, amplifying the benefits of the new computer system. They wanted us to have fun with it, give the staff something to laugh at and something that will remind them of the benefits of learning a new system, despite the learning curve and need for change.

This is the first of four posters we're doing for them. This was a very Photoshop intensive project for me, probably pushing my Photoshop skills further than any project I've had since college. You can see a few of the original photos and some a few images from the development process. Huge thanks to our model, Patty, for being a real sport during the shoot. She's a staffer at HCMG spearheading the project. Also thanks to Steve Vorderman for the photography and New Haven Print & Copy for the posters.
