The eleventh, final* Lucky Ten event of the year will be a free screening of 13 Most Beautiful: Songs for Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests. The one-hour film will be preceded by a live set of music by Mark Hutchins, who released one of the great albums of the year with Sleepy Furnace, and followed by a multimedia performance by post-rock purveyors Metavari, featuring OLG’s Nate Utesch.
13 Most Beautiful features a baker’s dozen of Andy Warhol’s famous silent film portraits, including Dennis Hopper, Nico, Lou Reed and Edie Sedgwick, set to a soundtrack featuring the music of Dean & Britta (formerly of Luna). In celebration of the Lucky Ten series, this event is free and open to the public! Having said that, Cinema Center holds around 140 people, so…get there early.
