At OLG, we know that spring brings new excitement for the folks at Matilda Jane Clothing. In addition to new Collection releases, the opportunity arises to see how the new stuff mixes with previous lines. This experimentation is known as “Mix & Match” and is promoted a few times a year. Just recently, we developed a brochure for MJC’s Trunk Keepers to help sell specific combinations of clothes. OLG was involved from the very beginning with planning, visual concepts, prop creation and art direction.
The concept of this particular Mix & Match deliverable was “One Enchanted Evening.” We set up a photoshoot in an indoor tropical garden and supplemented it with whimsical propping—from a backyard-looking swing to a storybook-feeling tea party setup. Light flourishes and hand-drawn type then helped give the brochure the complete “enchanted” mood. We even developed an original poem to help set a storyline for the piece!
